Recovery does not end when rehabilitation does. Abilities Centre’s post-rehabilitation programs in Whitby, Ontario support people as they transition from formal rehabilitation treatment back into active, community-based life.
Whether you are managing a chronic lung condition, recovering from a cardiac event, living with a neuromuscular condition, or rebuilding strength and mobility as an older adult, our post-rehabilitation programs meet you where you are and help you keep moving forward.
Every program at Abilities Centre is developed and delivered in partnership with leading health sector organizations and facilitated by trained, certified instructors in a fully accessible, welcoming facility in the heart of Durham Region.

A virtual wellness program for people living with chronic lung conditions, delivered in partnership with Lung Health Foundation.
Gentle Motion
Gentle Motion is an in-person fitness class for people with Parkinson's, MS, early dementia, and older adults improving strength and mobility.
HUR Fall Prevention
Build strength, balance, and confidence with our new HUR Fall Prevention program.
Respiratory and Cardiac Maintenance (RCM)
A community-based exercise program for people living with cardiac or pulmonary conditions delivered in partnership with Lung Health Foundation.

A community-based exercise program for people living with neuromuscular conditions.
