Become a member by visiting our Customer Service Team at the Membership Desk in Abilities Centre.
How old do I have to be to sign up?
Individuals under the age of 16 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian upon registration for our services (membership, day passes, single passes). The parent or guardian is required to sign a liability waiver on the behalf of the individual. Once the waiver has been signed, individuals ages 12 to 16 are not required to be accompanied by a parent/guardian while using our facilities.
Can I put my membership on hold instead?
Yes! Both paid-in-full and monthly memberships can be placed on hold for up to 3 months. The system will allow for this. Hold forms must be filled out at the front desk.
Can I cancel my membership?
Refund handling depends on the membership type.
For paid-in-full memberships, prorated refunds are available if needed, minus the $75 cancellation fee.
For monthly memberships, no refunds are issued, but members will continue to have access until their next payment date, plus the cancellation fee applies as above.
Credit card refunds are returned to the original card. EFT/bank deposit refunds are issued by cheque mailed to the address on file. Confirmation email sent within 48 hours of approval.
All cancellations require notice 15 days prior to the membership’s scheduled payment. Please note this can be done in person or by emailing your full name, contact number and Abilities Centre associated email to services@abilitiescentre.org (you will receive an email confirming your cancellation as well as a receipt confirmation from ActiveNet (membership system).
