Active Lungs is a welcoming, virtual exercise and wellness program for adults living with chronic lung conditions, including COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Asthma.
Through guided exercise, education, and community connection, you’ll build strength, confidence, and practical tools to stay active and manage your health — with fewer limitations and more possibilities.
About This Program
A virtual wellness program delivered in partnership with Lung Health Foundation
Active Lungs was developed in partnership with the Lung Health Foundation to support adults living with chronic lung conditions, including COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Asthma.
Participants join from home, making the program an accessible and convenient option for adults across Durham Region and beyond. Sessions combine guided movement, education, and opportunities to connect with others.
Who is Active Lungs for?
Active Lungs is for adults living with a chronic lung condition who want support to stay active, maintain their health, and connect with others who understand their experience.
The program is suitable whether you are newly diagnosed or looking to maintain your health and independence, and is designed to meet you at your current level of ability.
Participants have the support of health professionals and peers throughout the program.
No physician referral is required to register.

When do classes run?
- Each class is twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- 12 Weeks, 24 classes
- $115 + tax and fees ($5 per class)
