A community-based exercise program for people living with neuromuscular conditions.

Together in Movement and Exercise (TIME) is a community-based exercise program created by University Health Network and facilitated by Abilities Centre in Whitby, Ontario. TIME is designed for people living with neuromuscular conditions including stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and acquired brain injury.

The program focuses on three core outcomes: improving gait and walking ability, building lower body strength, and enhancing balance. It is a practical, community-based complement to clinical care that helps participants maintain and build on the progress they have made in rehabilitation.

TIME is not physiotherapy and does not replace physiotherapy, but it can be used alongside a physiotherapy program to support your overall health and mobility goals.

Who is TIME for?

TIME is for adults in Durham Region who are living with a neuromuscular condition and are looking for a safe, structured, community-based exercise program in Whitby, Ontario to support their long-term mobility and independence. A physician or physiotherapist referral is required to enrol.
