Gentle Motion
An in-person fitness program for older adults and people living with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, or early-onset dementia.
Gentle Motion is a specialized in-person fitness class at Abilities Centre designed for people living with Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, or early-onset dementia, as well as older adults looking to rebuild strength and mobility in a safe, supportive environment.
Every session is guided by a trained instructor and tailored to individual needs, whether you exercise seated, standing, or a combination of both.
Gentle Motion focuses on three key outcomes:
- Building stability
- Improving balance,
- Supporting greater independence in everyday life
Who is Gentle Motion for?
Gentle Motion is for adults in Durham Region who are living with Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, early-onset dementia, or age-related mobility challenges, and who are looking for a safe, structured, in-person exercise class in Whitby, Ontario. No physician referral is required to register.
