Nature TRek takes participants beyond the walls of Abilities Centre and into the natural world. This outdoor program combines adventure with learning, guiding participants through nature walks, orienteering, scavenger hunts, traditional camp games, and ephemeral art across various outdoor locations in Whitby, Ontario.

Along the way, participants build leadership skills, learn about conservation and responsible outdoor practices, and develop a sense of accomplishment as they take on new challenges and discover what they are capable of. Every outing is designed to build confidence, develop new skills, and create lasting memories.

Registered families and caregivers will receive location details ahead of each session start date. Activities will only move indoors in the event of inclement or unsafe weather conditions.

Who is Nature TRek for?

Youth and adults ages 14 and up in Durham Region who are curious about the outdoors and ready to explore, learn, and grow beyond the gym floor.
