Eagles Basketball (Intermediate)
Develop your game. Compete with purpose. Grow as a team.
The Abilities Centre Eagles is our intermediate recreational wheelchair basketball program for athletes ready to take the next step in their development. Building on the foundational skills introduced in the beginner program, Eagles athletes transition from learning the game to actively playing and competing at a higher level.
Practices are led by experienced coaches including provincial and national team athletes Eric Voss and Tamara Steeves, who bring high-performance insight into a supportive and developmental environment.
Eagles athletes refine technical and tactical basketball skills, develop advanced wheelchair mobility and game-speed control, and learn team systems, strategy, and competitive play. Guided by the same core pillars of Respect, Perseverance, and Being a Good Teammate, the Eagles program emphasizes both individual growth and team culture. Athletes will have opportunities to participate in organized games and tournaments, representing Abilities Centre within the broader Ontario wheelchair basketball community.
Who is Eagles Basketball for?
Athletes ages 7 and up who have foundational wheelchair basketball skills and are ready to develop their game in a competitive, team-focused environment in Whitby, Ontario.
